Under the terms of the agreement, flydubai customers will now have access to 16 new destinations on SriLankan Airlines’ network. Key cities such as Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo will be among the added options, broadening the travel possibilities for passengers originating from the UAE. In turn, passengers flying with SriLankan Airlines will be able to seamlessly connect via Dubai to over 30 destinations served by flydubai in Africa, Central Asia, Central and Southeast Europe, and the Middle East.

Notable destinations now accessible through flydubai include holiday hotspots such as Bucharest, Krakow, Mombasa, Naples, Tashkent, and Zanzibar, offering a wide array of new travel options. This move is expected to bolster tourism and trade links between the UAE and Sri Lanka while providing travelers with more convenience.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, expressed excitement about the partnership. “This interline agreement with SriLankan Airlines opens new horizons for our passengers, fostering stronger travel and trade relations between the UAE and Sri Lanka. We’ve seen sustained demand for travel between our two nations since 2010, and this deal will further enhance that,” Al Ghaith said.

Richard Nuttall, CEO of SriLankan Airlines, echoed these sentiments, adding, “We are thrilled to collaborate with flydubai to provide passengers with seamless connectivity and added flexibility. This partnership supports our global strategy and enhances travel options for our customers while allowing them to experience SriLankan Airlines’ unique services.” The agreement simplifies travel through single-ticket itineraries, through-checked baggage, and synchronized flight schedules, ensuring a more seamless experience for travelers.
